Hola qué tal??
This week has been a
pretty good one! It's fun to look back and see all the miracles that happen in
one week. There's too many to count. This week we went on exchanges I was with
sister Jeffrey in Novato! And let me tell you how amazing sister Jeffrey is, oh
wait I can't! She's just to great to describe.
It was so awesome being
with her she doesn't speak Spanish but the gift of tongues worked miracles and
she really understood what was happening in all the Spanish moments we had!
We had some time for
finding and how blessed we were! We went to one huge apartment complex and just
started knocking. We didn't have too many people open the door but we were able
to talk to people walking around. We meet one women who was a member and
actually served a mission in Peru for the church so it was really cool to talk
with her.
After that we meet a man
doing his laundry and we talked with him about Christ for quite some time. He
bore testimony to us about how he has helped him in his life. We shared a
message with him and he told us we could go back and talk with him but before
saying we could he told us it better be the same God and Christ he is talking
about because if it's different we would have problems. We reassured him they
are the same. :)
And then another miracle!
About four months ago when I got to Novato Hermana tribe and I tried so hard to
meet with a part member member family, Brenda and Jonathan. We tried so hard
but could never find time but the Lord works miracles everyday.
Brenda and her daughter |
They recently moved to
another apartment and contacted the Elders and asked them to visit with us. So
we went and wow they are so prepared for more of the gospel! Brenda is the
sweetest and cutest and bore testimony about the church and how she wants to go
back and be an example to her family, she's working on sundays but is searching
in the scriptures for a way to get sundays off. What an example!
We can find all the
answers as we search and pray. And then Jonathan just already seemed like a
member and said we can surely come back and teach them. Really the spirit works
wonders and the Lord has prepared this family so much and we can see how he
wants to bless them. It was SO exciting to meet with them and see the progress
and spirit that they had.
This week we talked a lot
about gratitude, sometimes during the day it's hard to see the blessings and
tender mercies that are given to us. Everyday life is tiring but if we really
look hard every day we will see that there are millions of blessings each day.
Big and even more that are small. We have such a loving Heavenly Father that
wants us to know of Him that is so ready to bless us if we would only follow
his simple yet powerful commands! I encourage you all to look for your
blessings and then find a way you can improve this week so that you are worthy
to recurve even more of the blessings that Lord has in store for us.
The Lord never ever stops
blessing us but He must withhold blessings from us if we are not in accordance
with his word. One of my favorite quotes is "si hoy eres un poco mejor que
ayer eso es suficiente" so "if you are a little bit better today than
you were yesterday that is sufficient" A little step towards our goals is
how we accomplish great things.
Like this week when
spiders prompted me to move my bed to find a window covered in mold. Step by
step with the help of bleach that window is no longer disgusting. No Hermana Fosters
were harmed as rubber gloves and napkins were used. We will leave off with that
note, don't take non moldy windows for granted. :)
Con amor,
Hermana Foster
